To change a part etc. After pressing 'Ctrl+V' press 'Ctrl+X', this will make the selected image, for example the fork i did on your bike, disappear. Then press delete to delete the background. Then press 'Ctrl+V' and the fork will appear again. Then just move it accordingly into the right position.

To change the colour go onto the drop down menu called 'colourise' and choose what you want from there.

when you have gimp open and an image you are editing. Make sure you have the image window selected then press 'B'. this will make the mouse turn into a different shape. Then click, then move the mouse then click again, it will make a line. Do this all the way around an object then press 'Ctrl+V'. This will make the line flash. That means you have selected it.

how did you do this ?
